I am a licensed clinical psychologist, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at SUNY Upstate Medical University, and Associate Professor of Research by courtesy at Syracuse University.
After many years of teaching and clinical service, I now focus on research, though I continue to see patients for therapy. In 2025, I founded the CP3 Lab. Our lab is dedicated to bridging the gap between philosophical theory, science, and practice.
I have taught at the university level since 2002. Beginning in 2010, I taught in, and eventually directed, the Residency/Doctoral Internship in Clinical Psychology at Upstate. Before that, I co-directed the Upstate University Counseling Center. In 2022 I founded, and I continue to direct, The Center for Philosophy, Psychology, and Psychiatry, a forum for an international community of scholars and practitioners. If you would like to join our mailing list for upcoming talks, contact me.
